General

The Auction program gives Audience Rewards members access to Broadway shows, experiences, premier events and more — starting at only 1,000 ShowPoints.

It's easy — just follow these simple steps: 1. Log in to your Audience Rewards account 2. Find your Auctions event and click "Bid Now" to begin. 3. Place a manual bid by clicking "Bid ___ ShowPoints," or place a maximum bid by entering your maximum bid amount and clicking "Bid Now." 4. Review and accept the terms and conditions. 5. Review the final bid details; then click "Confirm Bid" to submit your bid. Once your bid is confirmed, it is final and cannot be retracted. If you're the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be deducted automatically from your account to use for the Auctions experience. Any unused balance from a max bid, not used to transact a winning bid, will be returned to your account for immediate use.

Yes, you can increase your bid anytime before the auction closes. To do so, simply follow the bidding steps above.

The bid increment is the minimum number of ShowPoints required to place a bid. For example, if the bid increment is 500 and you click the "Bid" button, you are placing a bid for 500 more ShowPoints than the current high bid.

While watching an auction in real time, you will see a button that says "Bid ___ ShowPoints." When you click that button, you are placing a manual bid for the stated number of ShowPoints.

Submit a manual bid by clicking the "Bid Now" button. This automatically increases the current high bid by the bid increment amount.

A maximum bid is the greatest number of ShowPoints a member is willing to redeem for a particular auction item. The maximum bid amount must be greater than the current high bid plus 2 bid increments, or a greater amount. Once you enter a maximum bid amount, you may not reduce or remove it. During the auction, the system manages the bidding process for you. Whenever you are outbid, the system automatically increases your bid by the lowest possible bid increment until you win the auction or reach your maximum bid amount. If another member outbids your maximum bid, we will send you an email notification. If the auction is still open at that time, you may then decide to place a manual bid or stop bidding on the item. To win with a maximum bid, you must have submitted the highest bid at the final closing time of the auction.

An auto bid is a bid placed automatically by the system on behalf of a member who has submitted a maximum bid.

No. Once confirmed, all bids are final and cannot be retracted. If you are the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be temporarily and automatically deducted from your account to use for your Auctions experience. If you are outbid and are no longer the winning bidder, those points will be immediately returned to your account.

When you bid in an Auction ShowPoints will not reduced in your account. After the auction is closed the winner will be notified that they have won and that the ShowPoints have been deducted from their account. If the winner does not have enough ShowPoints or if there is an error, the winner will receive an email letting them know that there was an error completing the transaction with their auction. The auction winner will be redirected to complete the redemption by logging into Audience Rewards, and going into the Checkout Pending section in their profile to complete the payment. If they need more ShowPoints to complete their purchase they can buy more at these points Members should be careful of how many ShowPoints they have in their account as they can over-bid or use points for other items while they are in the bidding process. If you're the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be deducted automatically from your account to use for the Auctions experience. Any unused balance from a max bid, not used to transact a winning bid, will be returned to your account for immediate use.

Not always. If a bid is placed during the last five minutes of an auction, the auction is reset automatically for five minutes from the time of the latest bid. This is called Bid Extend and can be activated by any member who places a bid within the last five minutes. The auction closes once all bidding activity has stopped for a period of five minutes. If you have placed a bid when Bid Extend is engaged, you should refresh or reload your browser frequently (every three to five seconds) so that it displays the most current bid status information.

If you've elected to receive e-mail alerts for the auction, we will automatically send you an email when your bid is no longer the highest. At that time, you will have the opportunity to raise your bid. You may also elect to receive a text message alert. Text messaging rate may apply.

If you are the winning bidder, you will receive an email notification. Prior to your event you will be contacted to receive details on your experience.

Each auction will have a varying length of time it is available for bidding. Please view the details specific to the auction you're interested in.

New experiences are added to the site as they become available. You can view the list of all auctions here.

Yes. Package quantities are limited to one per member per unique auction, and five total packages per calendar year. Please note that this is subject to change per auction/event.

No. All purchases are final. If you are the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be deducted automatically from your account

Many of our packages include two tickets so that a friend or relative can attend. However, the winning bidder may not resell items redeemed through the Auctions program and may not assign, transfer, remarket, resell or otherwise dispose of an experience without obtaining Audience Rewards' prior written consent. Violators are subject to removal from the program and forfeiture of ShowPoints balance.

The general terms and conditions for the auctions program and its auction rules can be found here. Specific terms and conditions that apply to each individual auction are located on each auction's main page. In order to bid, you must read and acknowledge both.

When an offer is not claimed by the winner, the participants whose bids were closest to the winning bid are offered the opportunity to purchase the auction package at the price of the last point value they had previously bid on the item. If a member qualifies for the Second Chance Offer, they will be notified via email and will receive the next steps that way. More than 1 member may be offered the opportunity to participate in the Second Chance Offer and the prize will be awarded to the member who accepts the offer first.
